Irvine is an incorporated town in Orange County, California and as a masterplanned city, there is never a dearth of attractions that make living here fun and exciting. The Villages of Irvine like those of quail hill homes are close to these recreational and leisure centers. So whether you want to go biking, horseback riding, shopping or dining, the attractions of Irvine are just a close ride away.
One of the oldest parks in the city is the Irvine Regional Park, home to the Orange County Zoo. Cats, bears, raptors and other animals call this their home. It’s also a great place for a family picnic or a day of paddleboating. Biking and horseback riding are also other attractions of this old-time favorite.
The Orange County Great Park is another up-and-coming attraction located close to quail hill homes. While still in the process of transforming two U.S. Marines Bases established there in the 1940s into a place where the entire family can relax and have fun, the 72-foot diameter orange sphere of the Great Park Balloon is already in operation. Giving residents and visitors, young and old alike of a view of Orange County 400 feet above the ground, the balloon is the park’s biggest attraction as of yet. From Thursday through Sunday mornings until the early afternoon and then again at night, visitors and residents can watch the city from above on this helium balloon. When the Orange County Great Park is finished, it is envisioned to be bigger than New York Central Park and will feature walking paths two miles long, a wildlife corridor that links the ecosystems of Crystal Cove State Park and the Cleveland National Forest, six multipurpose sports fields, a botanical garden and the new Veterans Memorial and Air Museum.
The artistically-inclined residents of quail hill homes can always watch concerts of the Pacific Symphony at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, enjoy the impressionist art of California masters at the Irvine Museum or learn new things at the video and interactive art exhibits at the Beall Center for Art + Technology at the University of California Irvine.
Residents of quail hill homes who love to hike or bike or bird-watch won’t have to go very far. The Quail Hill Preserve is their very own backyard and features trails and panoramic views that will never fail to give a sense of awe and wonder at Mother Nature’s beauty. The Quail Hill Trailhead also leads to other Natural Landmarks like the Shady Canyon Loop Trail.
Shopaholics will have their share of fun at the Irvine Spectrum Center with its 130 shops and restaurants. It also has an IMAX and other in-center entertainment attractions like its Giant Ferris Wheel.
Indeed, there’s everything for everyone here in Irvine. For those who live in Quail Hill, these are just a short drive (or even a walk) away.
